Politicians have been urged to always promote peace and shun all form’s of violence during elections.
The senator representing the FCT, Mr, Philip Aduda made the call at a Town Hall meeting held in Gwagwalada.
He stressed the need for politicians to support policies and programs of government aimed at bringing socioeconomic development to the area.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Kasimu Mohammed called on residents to come out en mass and vote in the Area Council election scheduled for next month.
The Vice Chairman further advised youths not to allow themselves to be used by some politicians to disrupt the existing peace in the Area.
