A Hospitality Expert, Mr Nsikan Mathew has called for more proactive measures towards developing the nation’s hospitality sector.
Mr Mathew who is also an Hotelier made the call in Akwa Ibom while receiving an award of Living Hero of Humanitarian Services and Distinguished Personality presented to him by Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secured Initiative.
He described Nigeria’s hospitality industry as viable for the diversification of the nation’s economy hence the need for government at all levels to harness its economic potential.
The Hospitality Expert also called for more conducive environment for the sector to thrive most especially in the area of improved security, abolition of multiple taxation, access to loan among others.
Mr Mathew also used the opportunity to appeal to well meaning Nigerians to develop interest in assisting the less privileged in the society.
According to him, the society will be a better be place if necessary attention is given to the plight of the less privileged in the country.
He said most of his humanitarian gesture were carried out to put smile on the faces of the needy.
“Life is all about making positive impact wherever we found ourselves by assisting others with the little we have and this I believe would go a long way in making the society a better place for everyone” Mr Lucas stated.
He therefore stressed the need for corporate bodies and organizations to always compliment the efforts of government in reducing the rate of poverty and unemployment among Nigerians.
“Corporate bodies and Organizations also have a critical role to play in reducing most societal challenges through their social responsibility to the people and the commuity thereby complimenting the efforts of Governments at all levels in improving the well being of Nigerians” the Deputy Director emphasized
While thanking the Organization for the award, Mr Mathew said the award would further be encourage him to more in rendering humanitarian services to the less privileged in the country.
Earlier, the President of Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secured Initiative, Ambassador Oladipo Musibau said the be award was in recognition of the contributions of Mr Nsikan Mathew to humanity, society and the country in general.
Ambassador Musibau said his contributions to the growth of the nation’s hospitality industry were also worthy of the award.
“Mr Nsikan Matthew has achieved relevancy, respect and recognition through his hardwork as an Hotelier, Accountant, Engineer and a community developer, corporate administrator as well as a peace ambassador* He stated.
Ambassador Musibau therefore enjoined other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture and humanitarian services of Mr Nsikan Mathew to further ensure the betterment of the society.
