Political office holders have been urged to embark on more projects that have direct impact on the people at the grassroots.
A Member Representing Ahoada West, Ogba, Egbema/Ndoni Federal Constituency of Rivers State Uchechukwu Nnam-Obi gave the advice at a forum in Abuja.
Dr Nnam-Obi said it was by investing in the educational empowerment of the people especially through scholarship and infrastructure that there could be positive impact on the lives of the people.
The lawmaker was optimistic that the National Assembly would always work for the interest of the people especially on the electoral amendment bill.
The Registrar of Iheris Institute Togo Dr Adamu Mohammed explained that the recognition of the good works of public office holders would spur them to do more.
Dr Mohammed said Iheris monitors and honours those who contribute to societal development.
On his part a traditional leader the Sarkin Arewa Students West Africa, His Royal Highness Makita Jodah urged leaders at all levels to always live up to their campaign promises.
Some individuals who distinguished themselves in various leadership position including the Member Representing Ahoada West, Ogba, Egbema/Ndoni Nnam-Obi was honoured with a Doctorate Degree by the Iheris Institute.
