Healthcare is one of the basic requirements for human existence.

Yearly, budgetary provisions are made for all sectors of the country, health inclusive.

Findings indicate that many primary healthcare centres are confronted with many challenges ranging from manpower, dilapidated structures and lack of drugs

Some of the PHCCs in some communities in Bwari Area Council like Chikakuri, Cuchiguyi, Gawu, Gaba, Igu Dakwa, Gigo among others exposed some of the challenges encountered by residents in accessing quality health care.

Some of the residents who spoke with Correspondent Ifeanyi Osita expressed concern over the state of health facilities in the communities and appealed to relevant authorities to look into the situation.

A Chieftain of the APC in the Area, Mr Haruna Shekwolo said due to inadequate facilities, residents from most rural communities travel long distances to access basic healthcare.
