Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has called for more political will to address insecurity and other challenges in the country.
Archbishop Ndukuba who made the call in his New Year message at the Cathedral Church of Advent Life Camp Abuja appealed to political leaders to place national interest above personal ambition.
He said the present state of banditry, kidnapping, killings economic meltdown were contributing to daily increase in the level of poverty.
Archbishop Ndukuba however stressed the need for political office holders to provide the needed support to surmount the current security situation for peace and socio-economic development.
The Anglican Primate also urged the president to reconsider his decision on assent to the electoral amendment bill to strengthen the nation’s democracy.
Most Reverend Ndukuba enjoined Nigerians to always put their trust in God for divine intervention.
