APC : Group Demands National Convention To Hold On Scheduled Date

A group of the All Progressive Congress, the Progressive Mandate Movement has called on the leadership of the APC under the leadership of the National Caretaker Committee led by the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni to ensure the national convention holds before 5th February 2022 to sustain the unity of the party.

This is contained in a statement in Abuja by the National coordinator of the group, Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed.

According to the statement, President Muhammadu Buhari had wanted the national convention to hold in December 2021 but was shifted due to some circumstances to February 2022.

The statement calls on the National caretaker committee of the party not to go beyond the rescheduled date.

According to the statement preparations for the convention should begin in earnest early January to guard against agitations within the party.

It threatens to launch ‘Operation No Leadership’in the party should the leadership fail to comply with its demands.
