The Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory on Youths Matters, Isaac David has felicitated with Nigerian youths, particularly Christian youths as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
In his Christmas message in Abuja, David urged Christian youths and other Nigerians to use the occasion in praying for Nigeria’s unity, peace, and prosperity.
He also enjoined young people to recommit themselves to serving mankind in accordance with Jesus Christ’s real teachings, which promote tolerance, patience, brotherly kindness, compassion for the poor, and love for one another, among other virtues.
According to him, the Christmas season presents everyone an opportunity once more to love, share and forgive, urge all Nigerian youths to utilize the period to pray for unity, peace, and prosperity in the nation.
“We must also rededicate ourselves to the true virtues of faith in God, love for one another, honesty, and peaceful co-existence. It is time to make these virtues more evident and practical in our daily lives and i want Christian youths to use this period to pray for President Muhammad Buhari, for God to continue to protect him and strengthen him. Also, for God to use him succeed in his desire to remove 100 million youths from the street, and also for the Minister, Malam Mohammad Bello, for God to bless and protect him always,” he stressed
The Minister’s Aide observed that when Nigerian youths begin to exhibit unconditional love to one another, the impact will bring about a positive change that will lead to unity and development which will move the nation forward.
“As we celebrate, we should not also forget victims of kidnappings, that God should protect them and deliver them from the hands of their captives. Also, God should grant peace to the souls of those that have died this year and we should bear in mind that the greatest command Jesus gave to his followers is to love one another. Not only does this have spiritual benefits, but it will also make Nigeria a better place because love overcomes all things including hatred, violence and other vices,” he added
