Christmas: Nigeria Hunter Council Felicitates With Security Personnel, Lauds FG, Senate For Support

The Commander General of Nigeria Hunter Council, NHC, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin has felicitated with Christian officers and men of the Council as well as other formal Security agencies in the country on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.

In his Christmas message in Abuja, Dr. Osatimehin commended efforts of both formal and informal security agencies in protecting lives and property of Nigerians despite all challenges.

He therefore called for more collaborative efforts towards combating kidnapping, banditry, boko harram and other forms of insecurity in the country.

According to him, the attention being received by the Bill of Nigeria Hunter Council at the Senate is one of the major achievements been recorded by the Council in the outgoing year.

“I bring you good tidings in this yuletide period and I first give Glory, Honour and Adoration unto God Almighty for every step of achievements that we have made in the direction of our Legislative Bill and our ancillary security duties to our nation, The Federal Republic of Nigeria” He stated

Dr Osatimehin be therefore lauded President Muhammadu Buhari, Federal Executive Council, the Senate and Service Chiefs as well as leadership of other formal Security agencies for their support and collaboration with Nigeria Hunter Council towards achieving its mandate.

“I thank our dynamic President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and all his Federal Ministers, Governors and all the Service Chiefs for the various levels of encouragements we have received as the most vibrant informal security Organization today in Nigeria and our gratitude goes especially to the our distinguished Senators, especially the Chairman of Senate Committee on Interior, Rt. Senator Shettima, and the visionary and distinguished Senator Olujimi who championed the course of our Bill for an Enabling Act at the Senate/National Assembly” the Commander General stressed

While reiterating the commitment of Nigeria Hunter Council to national security, the Commander General appreciated the I GO, NSCDC and other stakeholders in the training and retraining of men and officers of the Council over the years.

“We extend great and unalloyed gratitude to our Nigerian patrons and advisers for making their wisdom bank available to us in times of various needs of logistic decisions and our special regards to the Inspector General of Police, and the Commander-General of the NSCDC, who are our parenting security agencies from which we have learned a lot about Community and National security skills and delivery methods” He emphasized

The Commander General advised officers and men of the Council to remain committed towards realizing the objectives of NHC.

“In times like this, permit me to recall that, indeed, the entire Nigeria Hunter Council has COME A LONG WAY in our contributions to National Security in the aspect of our mandate to secure the forests, bushes, farms, creeks, streams, rivers, and all spaces that are plagued by bandits, insurgents, kidnappers, rapists – indeed all terrorists. But, next year, we shall perform more excellently! Our synergy with the security agencies in detecting, reporting, and arresting crimes has been commended by many Nigerian Stakeholders, even some of the Governors especially in the N/East, N/West, and the N/Central and some southern Governors” He said

According to him, NHC has received overtures of intention by the Federal Government to provide logistic and legal support to our organization and the journeys so far have been very hard, sometimes tortuous but always successful.

“In all, as we celebrate this year’s Xmas, I wish all of us, and the entire nation the abundant Grace of Sacrificial Love, Unity, Progress and sense of Loyalty to the our dear country and Nigeria shall remain united, and we shall be great again as a Giant Nation under the Sun because as for us in the NHC, we are absolutely resolved to devote our skills and knowledge to help secure the nation under the guidance of all Nigerian statutory laws” He added
