FCT State Minister Harps On Peace, Unity

FCT Minister of State Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has advocated for unity among Nigerians irrespective of culture, clime, colour or religion.

Dr Aliyu who made the call during the launch of peace and unity campaign held in Abuja, was of the opinion that unity has the tendencies of fostering peaceful coexistence among people of different ethnicity and development.

She stressed that people must learn to tolerate one another for peace to reign and for the preservation of the unity of Nigeria.

According to Dr Aliyu, the Federal Capital Territory Administration FCTA, would continue to partner with any responsible group championing the course of building responsible leaders that have the interest of the youths in the country at heart.

The Minister therefore called for doggedness, value reorientation and patriotism on the part of youths and Nigerians at large.

In his remarks, the President of Ambassadors of Voice of Change in Nigeria, Mr. Bala Ahmed, said with the official launch in the nation’s capital, the campaign train would be moved to the 36 states of the federation to preach the gospel of peace.  

He also commended FCTA for the partnership and called on governments at all levels, religious and traditional institutions to domesticate peace initiative.
