FCT : CPWB Partners Kwali Area Council For Hitch Free Pilgrimage

The Chairman Kwali Area Council, Danladi Chiya, has pledged his administration’s commitment to provide support for successful Christian pilgrimage exercises.

Danladi Chiya made this known when he received Management of the FCT CPWB, led by the Director, Dabara-Audu Vingo, on a sensitization tour of the Council in Kwali.

He said in spite of the dwindling economy, his administration was committed to providing Christians in the Council the opportunity to undertake the spiritual journey.

The chairman appreciated the leadership of the CPWB for the sensitization aimed at strengthening the faith of Christians through the pilgrimage.

Earlier, the Director FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Dabara-Audu Vingo explained that his team was in the Council to seek support and to enlighten intending pilgrims to the holy land on the new normal of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dabara-Audu Vingo further said the tour was aimed at building synergy between the Kwali Area Council and the board for a successful 2021 Christian Pilgrimage.

The FCT Director also thanked the Chairman for the cordial relationship that exists between his administration and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, as well as the Christian community in general.

In his exhortation from Psalm 132, the FCT Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Dr. Samson Jonah, expressed joy that pilgrims would visit both Israel and Jordan in the next pilgrimage.

Similarly the team visited the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, North Central office in Gwagwalada in Continuation of its sensitization tour where the Coordinator, Mr. Nicholas Kiva appealed to the Christian Association of Nigeria to work as a team to promote the exercise.

There were various paper presentations on the significance of pilgrimage, role of stakeholders in pilgrimage, COVID-19 management and strategy and pilgrimage procedures.
