FCTA Warn Residents Against Rebuilding In Areas Previously Demolished

The Federal Capital Territory Administration ( FCTA) has warned residents to stop rebuilding in areas where the Department of Development Control had gone to carry out demolition enforcement on illegal structures.

The Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement to FCT Minister, Comrade Ikharo Attah, gave the warning in Abuja.

He warned that the FCT Administration would not hesitate to revisit areas found violating the law.

Comrade Attah who noted that enforcement required a lot of money, urged residents to desist from such act to enable government channel such resources towards initiating people oriented project for the benefit of all.

According to him, the Ministers of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, had expressed dismay over the manner people were rebuilding in unauthorized places in Gwarimpa and Mpape, he vowed to bring such persons to book.
