Political Office holders have been urged to embark on true reconciliation and evolve strategies towards addressing the present security and socio economic challenges in the country.
The Vicar of Saint John Anglican Church, Lugbe, Abuja Venerable Samuel Akale who gave the advice during the Christmas Carol of the Church and Service of Nine Lessons said the birth of Jesus Christ was to bring joy and genuine reconciliation for peace to reign in the world.
Venerable Akale while identifying lack of love as the main cause of the present challenges in the country appealed to government at all levels to urgently address increase in prices of goods and services for Nigerians to celebrate Christmas with joy.
He also emphasized the need for Nigerians to love one another and place national interest above personal ambition.
Venerable Akale expressed optimism that the country would come out stronger when all ethnic groups come together and work for the unity of the country.
As Christians celebrate Christmas, the Anglican Priest appealed to road users to exercise patience, abide by traffic rules and give maximum cooperation to security agencies for a hitch free Christmas celebration.
The Cleric stressed the need for Nigerians to be modest in spending and avoid unnecessary trips during the yuletide .
He therefore called on wealthy individuals and charity organizations to complement efforts of the Church in assisting the less privileged in the society.
