DHQ Intensifies Efforts In All Theatres Of Operations To Curb Crimes

The Defence Headquarters says the military will continue to engage in joint operations with other security agencies through kinetic and non kinetic Operations to rid the country of all forms of criminality.

The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko stated this during a bi-weekly news conference in Abuja.

General Onyeuko explained that the intensified efforts of Operations Hadin Kai, Hadarin Daji, Safe Haven, Whirl Stroke, Whirl Punch and Thunder Strike had led to the elimination of scores of terrorists and bandits, rescue of some kidnapped victims as well as some terrorists surrendering to the troops.

The Acting Director also pointed out that troops engaged in peace and security meetings with stakeholders on lasting solutions to the security challenges in parts of the country.

General Onyeuko added that troops of Operation Delta Safe deactivated some illegal refining sites and recovered millions of litres of illegally refined petroleum products.
