Member represening Ekiti South Federal Constituency 2, Olufemi Bamishile has refuted allegations that he accompanied another aspirant, Biodun Oyebanji, to the All Progressives Congress, APC National Secretariat to obtain the latter’s nomination form for the forthcoming Governoship Election in the State.
This is contained in a statement signed by the lawmaker and made available to news men in Abuja.
According to the statement, the lawmaker was not the person identified in a group photograph showing the entourage of Oyebanji who was the former Secretary to the State Government of Ekiti.
Bamishile, who is also an APC governorship aspirant from the South Senatorial District of the State, described the report as mischievous as it could mislead his supporters.
” This is mischievous and unfounded propaganda targeted against my personality which is bound to fail, I was in my office at the House of Representatives wing of the Natiional Assembly preparing for the day”s plenary session when my attention was drawn to trash, I could not believe this until I saw the fake photograph of a man who truly resembles me with other Colleagues from the National Assembly but i am not the person, I don’t dress like that’
He further stated that as a leading Aspirant from the South in the forthcoming Governorship Election in the state, he remains a candidate to contend with and will not give up his intentions.
Bamishile who was a former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly appealed to Leadership of the Party to call those behind the campaign of calumny against his personality to order so as not to destroy the chances of the ruling APC from winning the state governoship election come next year
