Senate Passes Bill For Establishment Of Federal University Of Sports In Ebonyi

The bill for establishment of the Federal University of Sports Nkalagu, Ebonyi State has been passed in the Senate.

The bill which was sponsored by the senator representing Ebonyi central, Obinna Ogba, was passed after its clause by clause consideration at the committee of the whole.

Senator Ogba, told newsmen during an interactive after plenary that the bill when signed into law would encourage advancement in teaching and learning of sporting activities in the country.

The lawmaker who said the bill was passed in the eighth Senate but was not accented to by president Muhammadu Buhari, thanked the president of the Senate for passing it .

Senator Ogba appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to give legal backing to the bill in the interest of the country.
