NGO Trains Local Farmers On Modern Agricultural Techniques

In efforts to develop the Agric sector and bring succour to farmers across the country, about two hundred persons drawn from Bassa and Kotonkarfe Local Government Areas in Kogi State and Chanchaga as well as Bosso Local Government Areas in Niger State have been trained on modern agricultural techniques

The project is aimed at promoting Agribusiness in poultry and fish farming.

Addressing participants, the Director Communications, Xploits Consulting Limited, Mrs Grace Taiwo, said the essence of the training was to improve the livelihood of farmers which by extension would help alleviate poverty and also contribute to ongoing efforts targeted at diversification of the economy.

Responding on behalf of the participants, Mrs Elizabeth Mesini who appreciated the organizers for the gesture appealed for financial support to boost their farming activities.

Acknowledging the financial institution for its efforts in equipping people with knowledge, the District Head of Bosso, Alhaji Mu’azu Adamu Lako said the training came at the right time as the knowledge acquired would help his people in no small measure.

The Agribusiness training was facilitated by Xploits consulting Ltd with support from Access Bank.
