Reps Urge Korea Republic To Strengthen Local Content In Nig


The House of Representatives has urged the Republic of Korea to strengthen its local content in Nigeria by transferring technological knowledge to women and youths in the country.

This is one of the request made when the Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Nigeria visited the House Committee on Nigeria/South Korea parliamentary friendship group chaired by Joseph Bello-Asuku.

According to Bello-Asuku, the mandate of the friendship group is to amongst others initiate and ensure a robust inter parliamentary relationship while facilitating trade, investment and economic cooperation between both countries.

In his submission a member of the committee, Ibrahim Isiaka, who harped on the need for human capacity development stressed the need for a mutual beneficial relationship.

Earlier, the Ambassador, of the Republic of Korea, Kim Young-Chae, said the visit to the National Assembly was to drive a better bilateral relation between South Korea and Nigeria.

The eight man committee was inaugurated in July this year by the speaker Femi Gbajabiamila to foster bilateral relationship between both countries.
