Prince Mona Audu Not Our Member – Kogi APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogbonicha Ward, Ofu LGA chapter, Kogi State says Prince Mustapha Mona Audu is not a member of the party.

It further stated that Mona’s activities in the Progressives Youth Movement are unacceptable to the chapter.

The Ogbonicha APC Ward Chairman, Mr Peter Onoja stated this at the APC Secretariat, Lokoja while briefing newsmen on the reported
formation of a parallel APC National Caretaker Committee by Prince Mustapha Mona Audu.

Mr Onoja said that Prince Mustapha Audu had long ceased to be a member of APC in Ogbonicha Ward, as he boycotted the party due to his disqualification by the Primaries Screening Committee for the 2019 Kogi State Gubernatorial Election for failing to meet the basic constitutional requirements.

The Ogbonicha Ward chairman stressed that Mona failed to revalidate his membership of the Party at his polling unit as required of all law abiding members during the APC Nationwide Registration and Revalidation exercise in 2021, thus allowing his membership to elapse and his name to be struck from the register of the APC at his Ogbonicha Ward, Ofu LGA of Kogi State.

Mr Onoja who further affirmed the ward’s support for the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee
condemned in the strongest terms what he called unwarranted and totally unlawful attack on the Committee, a position he said had been severally confirmed by every hierarchy of court in Nigeria, including the Supreme Court.
