The new Executive Director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Dr Ezra Yakusak has assumed office with a promise to reposition the Council for optimal performance on the promotion and export of Nigerian non-oil products.
At a resumption ceremony in Abuja, Dr. Yakusak said he would give attention towards ensuring quality packaging of the nation’s non-oil products for export.
According to him, the capacity of exporters of non-oil products would also be enhanced to enable them compete favourably in the international market.
The New NEPC Executive Director who described delay in export of products as one of the factors hindering the growth of economy stated that Domestic Warehouse Operations would equally be strengthened for optimal delivery.
Dr. Yakusak explained that the existing programmes on quality products development and export would be sustained to ensure national economic development.
The New Executive Director of NEPC therefore solicited the support of staff and other stakeholders to enable him succeed in his developmental programmes for the council.
He promised to give priority to staff welfare and training for improved productivity.
While advising the staff against any act of corruption, Dr Yakusak promised to operate an open door policy for the overall development of the council adding that no member of staff would be intimidated and urged them to be deligent in the discharge of their duties.
