The Military High Command says the kinetic and non-kinetic operations of the Armed Forces and other security agencies have continued to yield significant results with the arrest of key terrorists logistics suppliers and reduction of secessionists activities in the South East.
The Acting Director Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko who stated this during a bi-weekly news briefing in Abuja, said a total of nine hundred and ninety six Boko Haram Terrorists and family members surrendered to troops of operation Hadin Kai in the north east theatres of Operations.
While explaining that troops of operations Hadarin Daji, Safe Haven, Whirl Stroke eliminated scores of bandits, General Onyeuko said troops also rescued some kidnapped victims and recovered arms and ammunition.
The Acting Director pointed out that troops of operation Delta Safe discovered and deactivated some illegal refining sites and recovered millions of illegally refined petroleum products as well as arms and ammunition.
General Onyeuko stressed the need for timely information to enable troops achieve more successes.
