Chairman senate Committee on Mines and Steel, senator Tanko Al Makura says poor funding in the Mines and Steel sector has stalled its development in the country.
Senator Tanko Al Makura stated this during presentation of the committee’s 2022 budget report before the appropriation committee in Abuja.
He appealed to government for improved funding of the Ajaokuta steel complex to fast track industrialisation in the country
Senator AlMakura who described the Solid Minerals as a sector next to the Agriculture in areas of revenue generation and job creation expressed worry that it had been abandoned for too long.
