Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr. Olusade Adesola has called on Residents, Government Agencies and Private Organizations in the FCT to support FCTA to beautify and maintain the city’s green areas, open spaces and buffer zones as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR).
The Permanent Secretary made the call when he received different private organizations and government agencies in Abuja.
The Permanent Secretary who pointed out that FCTA had done very well to maintain the city’s green areas, and buffer zones, said it has become necessary to bring onboard relevant stakeholders in the territory to contribute their quota to further improve the territory’s aesthetic.
Mr. Adesola explained that personal responsibility to protect government critical infrastructure from vandals was key to safeguarding the city’s infrastructure.
The Permanent Secretary assured residents of the Territory that the present leadership of the FCT Administration would continue to work towards making life more better for residents.
On his part, the Director of Parks and Recreations, FCTA, Hajiya Risikatu Abdulazeez disclosed that already the Department of Parks and Recreation had developed 3 landscape concepts for stakeholders to adopt.
She enjoined stakeholders to adhere to the stipulated guidelines such as the 25 metres setback from the road shoulder
