Radio Nigeria Highland FM has upgraded its transmission from analog to digital operations.
This followed the successful installation of a new digital transmitter.
Speaking at the inauguration of the equipment, the Zonal Director, North Central of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Mallam Haruna Idris charged staff to redouble their efforts to justify government’s huge investment.
Addressing staff of the station, the Zonal Director said the gesture was part of the Federal Government’s effort to revitalize broadcasting.
He said with the transition, quality news and programs would be prioritised.
He therefore challenged staff to professionally package news and programs to attract a wide listenership and boost revenue.
He also urged staff to collectively ensure adequate maitainance of the transmitter for better service delivery.
On her part, the General Manager Radio Nigeria Highland FM, Patience Jatau said the switchover was a milestone achievement for the station.
She promised that with the digital switchover she would ensure more quality content for listeners.
The General Manager commended the Federal Government, the Director General and the Zoanl Director for ensuring that FRCN remained the best.
